The CI Centre teams with the Hamilton Trading Group (HTG),
recognized experts and practitioners of surveillance awareness and
counter surveillance, to provide an important course for today's
threats.
This five-day seminar is provided in two parts. Part 1 defines
the problem of the war and Part 2 provides practical exercises on
the street that explores tools that can be used to successfully
preempt and respond to terrorism threats and neutralize terrorist
networks.
PART
1: Understanding the Roots of the Problem (Day 1-3) given by the
CI Centre
To win a war, one must first understand and
define the enemy then understand how to fight the enemy. This
important, graphic-intense course focuses on the new challenges and
threats of the 21st century emanating from the Islamic
Threat and explores the question “is Islam a religion of peace” and
why have some Muslims openly declared war against the West?”
The course explores the questions of who is the
enemy, how and why is the enemy fighting the war with the West and
what are the strategic and tactical goals of the enemy. The seminar
includes an honest detailed background discussion of Islam and how
Islam is used to justify the Militant Jihadist. It examines the
roots of Islam from it foundation by Mohammed’s first revelations in
610, to the transformation of Islam from Mecca to Medina in 622 also
know as the Hijra.
The course explains the roots of the terrorist
actions observed by today’s Islamic Jihadist such as the
fascinations with beheading to the phenomena of “taqiyya” and “kitman,”
or the role of deception, in Islamic terrorism will be illustrated
and explored with examples.
The seminar introduces the key concepts to
understanding Islam today such as: what does abrogation mean, the
importance of the Mecca and Medina Suras, what is the meaning of
Jihad and salvation, the origins and importance of the Qur’an, who
was Muhammad, why Islam is more than a religion, the origins and
importance of Sharia or Islamic Law, what is Dhimmitude and why is
it important.
The seminar also examines the importance to
know about: the first four Caliphs, the difference between Sunni and
Shi’a, the importance of the Battle of Karbala in 680 and the
significant of the 12th Imam and the Blue Mosque to Shi’a
and Iran’s threat to the world today. The seminar explores the
multiple efforts to spread Islam to achieve world domination. This
expansion began in 633 as Islam spread out the Mecca/Medina region
into Africa, Spain, Persia and the Middle East. The questions of
what really were the Crusades that took place from 1095 to 1204 and
how it is important to understand them in relation to the Islamic
Threat. The expansion of Islam until it was contained at the Battle
of Vienna in 1683 is reviewed and why the date of September 11 has
great historical significant to the Militant Jihadist.
The seminar explores the resurgence of the
Sunni Islamic terrorist movement in 1928 with the establishment of
the Muslim Brotherhood following World War I. The seminar will
provide background for the students to understand and interpret
events that are currently unfolding in the Middle East and around
the world, relating to the Israeli-Arab Conflict and the world wide
war on Islamic terrorism. Between 1918 and 1936, the majority of the
Middle Eastern countries, such as the Palestine British Mandate,
Syria, Transjordan, Iraq, a freer Egypt and Lebanon, were
established by Great Britain and France. Most of these countries
were granted independence only after terrorist operations were
directed against Britain and France in the region. The background
behind and rational for and importance of the establishment of the
State of Israel in the region is also explained in detail.
The significance of the 1948, 1957, 1967, 1973,
1982 and 2006 wars between the Arab countries in the region and
Israel and their impact on the Islamic world is explained in detail.
These events had a direct impact on the growth of Islamic-based
terrorism in the modern era. Also explored is the importance of the
Iran Revolution of 1979 and the emergence of Shi’a based terrorism
and the terrorist organization Hezbollah is examined and put in
context to understand today’s Islamic Threat.
The seminar examines the key terrorist
activities and attacks leading up to attack on September 11, 2001 as
well as the key terrorist events following this monumental day. The
seminar explores and explains the Islamic Threat today as bigger
than al-Qaeda.
This seminar explores the emerging problem
known as “Eurabia” and its impact on US National Security and
Intelligence Policy. The seminar will examine why the correct
terrorist war we are fighting today should be called World War Zero
instead of World War 4 because this is a war that was declared
against the non Islamic world 1,280 years ago.
The course concludes with a discussion of what
the West need to know about Islam today and the impact of
Globalization, Islamic apologists and the divided loyalty problem
within the US. The influence with US academic community funded by
Wahhabism with Saudi Arabian monies is also discussed.
PART
2: Responding to the Threat (Days 4 and 5) given by the
Hamilton
Trading Group (HTG)
The HTG instructors
have a 20-year record in private practice plus their many years of
experience as case officers in the US Intelligence Community. This
segment of the course has been designed to give attendees some
practical detection and protection examples that have served others
well in defending organizations, information, buildings,
transportation, events and/or people. You will learn how jihadi
terrorists have used the internet and other open source material to
train themselves in intelligence, counterintelligence and
surveillance.
Attendees will learn how
terrorist organizations prepare to visit a targeted city to gather
information by casing pre-selected targets, reporting this
information to their higher authorities, re-casing the sites they
intend to attack, and finally formulating an operational plan in
order to succeed. This "Phase One" of intelligence gathering prior
to a terrorist attack is the most opportune time to detect, deter
and disrupt their plans. The course goal is to provide "street
smart" ideas and advice that address the somewhat unhelpful command
to "BE ALERT". Attendees will be shown some of the common profiles,
behaviors and actions of terrorists in "Phase One" and to develop
appropriate effective responses―procedures to improve the chances of
catching the terrorists in the "acts of planning"―long before any
acts of death and destruction.
The course enforces the message
to other members of these organizations to be more aware of
potential suspicious behaviors and incidents. Classroom lectures and
briefings will prepare attendees to observe and then take part in
practical, on-the-street exercises identifying what a terrorist
casing profile looks like and then role-playing a "Phase
One" terrorist casing operation.
Please note
because of the street exercises, this course can only be
held in the Washington, DC area. Please call us at
1-800-779-4007 for the special pricing of this course.
Course Feedback

a thorough understanding of terrorist recruiting techniques,
propaganda efforts, use of information technology, and
background of Muslim extremist movement.”
"I now understand how real the threat from jihad is
in the US and see clearly how we in the Intel Community need to be
more educated and more proactive in order to protect ourselves. I
now understand the challenges we face in the IC."
“I now have
the correct set of glasses on to analyze world information.”
"This course should be attended by everyone in the
Intelligence Community. An entire college semester in one week!
Challenges us to examine our own worldview and how we may have
become ‘comfortable’ with our own thought processes and analysis."
"Very informative. I feel it did a great job
connecting the dots between current events and their roots in
history."
“My level
of interest in CI has increased from this course. Hearing
the truth is motivating and understanding who America’s
enemies are will help me focus my attention in the right
direction.”

ever attended. I learned more in this course than nearly a year at
my organization."
“The
information and instruction, bar none, was the best I have
ever received. Thank you.”

terrorism, as well as many differences and history I didn’t know
before. The understanding of what to look for will be essential in
my future career."
“Valuable
information kept unclassified, which can be shared with
other LEO’s.”

gets to the root cause of Jihad."
"Thoroughly covers the key topics, very impressive
course."
“This
course better prepares myself and others who deploy to the
Middle East and Islamic states.”
"CT 361, The War on Terrorism, has been both
enlightening and concerning. What is most alarming is that so many
of our elected officials and senior level decision makers are
ignorant to of the extent of the problem. How can you win a war when
leaders didn’t know who the enemy is? Could we have successfully
waged war in 1941-45 if we did not know and understand Nazi Germany
and Japan?"
"It was very useful to understanding the current war
and the people we are fighting."
"This course was amazing, and as usual very
beneficial to my job. The information will help out greatly as I
conduct operations out in the field."
"Puts the news, books and media commentary on Islam
and the War on Terror into perspective."
"Should be given to all IC leadership."
“I gained a
better understanding of what Islam is about. If we don’t
fight radical Islam in the Middle East we’ll end up fighting
it in the U.S.”
"Was excellent, first course I’ve had that went into
depth about the subject."
"Did a very good job of putting events of today into
their historical contexts."
“I think
the most valuable aspect of the course was the historical
perspective and background of Islam. Looking back we can
gain valuable insight into what the future may bring. Taking
into account the average U.S. citizen’s and policy maker’s
knowledge of the enemy is absolutely frightening!”
"Vital—key insight into Dhimmitude—eye-opening
experience."
"One of the few courses, in my 29+ year career, that
kept my attention from beginning to end. Anyone who says they aren’t
100% more knowledgeable after taking this course must have arrived
brain dead."
"I learned
the motivation and in-depth knowledge of Islamic extremism.”
"Brings clarity to complex causes of radical Islamic
terrorism."
"Great course! Of all the courses I’ve taken, this
one has impacted me the most. I would recommend this class to
everyone! Very worthwhile and informative. Thank you for such an
enlightening experience!"

sure to recommend to others."
"I learned
that Islamic terrorists are using the same CI/CT recruitment
tactics in Iraq.
"What an eye opener. This course has shown me just
how much I didn’t know, and just how quickly I MUST learn."
"Bottom-line: My highest endorsement!"
