Why I Am Not a Muslim by Ibn Warraq

This remarkable book, written in 1995 as a response to the Islamic fatwa against author Salman Rushdie, is extremely relevant today (if only we had read Warraq's book ten years ago!). He critically examines the Koran, the origins of Islam, Islamic law, the totalitarian nature of this religion-political system, non-compatibility of Islam with democracy and human rights, and more.
